Family lawyers requested for details of their recent court experiences

Law Society’s Family Section advisory group launches survey

With growing concerns over the court system, the Law Society's Family Section advisory group wants to hear about the experiences and the problems which are affect family law solicitors and their clients.

A representative of the Family Section advisory group, Tony Roe, said:

"Members of our advisory group have recently shared growing concerns over their experiences of the court system. We are hearing anecdotal stories of cases being withdrawn from the lists at very short notice and long delays with response times from court.

We would like to hear from family law practitioners to determine how widespread such problems are. Responses will be anonymised. Respondents are not required to detail any specific information about live cases, or a specific judge's involvement."

Respondents to the survey are not required to detail any specific information about live cases, or a specific judge's involvement.
