Review seeks to identify changes ‘to safely stem the increase’

A sector-led review of the rise in applications for care orders and the number of children in care has been announced. The review, scheduled for November 2017 to June 2018, will be facilitated by Family Rights Group and funded by the Nuffield Foundation. It will be chaired by Nigel Richardson, recently retired Director of Children's Services, Leeds City Council.

This seven month sector-led review into the care crisis engages with, and is supported by stakeholders within the child welfare and family justice system.
