LSC to Introduce New Family Fee Schemes on 9 May 2011

Guidance on advocacy and non-advocacy schemes available from LSC

The Legal Services Commission will introduce two new family fee schemes on 9 May 2011.

1.         The 'Family Advocacy Scheme' (FAS) under which both solicitor advocates and barristers claim a single, graduated fee for advocacy work done on public and private family law cases and

2.         The 'Private Family Law Representation Scheme' (PFLRS) under which solicitors claim a standard fixed fee for work done (excluding advocacy) from the issue of proceedings to the conclusion of the final hearing.
