Reunite given liberty to intervene in S (A Child) in the Supreme Court

Hearing takes place on Monday, 20th February

Reunite is intervening in the Supreme Court hearing of S (A Child) in which sub nom S v C [2011] EWCA Civ 1385, the Court of Appeal overturned the original judgment of Mr Justice Charles. The hearing takes place on Monday, 20th February.

Reunite will be represented on a pro bono basis by Henry Setright QC, leading Edward Devereux, instructed by Dawson Cornwell.

Reunite say that the appeal raises issues of public importance in relation to Article 13(b) of the 1980 Hague Convention. The organisation believes that it is in an almost unique position to provide assistance to the Supreme Court in the appeal, given that it provided both written and oral submissions to the Supreme Court in the matter of Re E (Children) [2011] UKSC 27 , the reasoning of which is directly engaged in this appeal.
