These proceedings were heard by Mr Justice MacDonald in the High Court. The case was one which had been remitted by the Court of Appeal for re-hearing on the question of habitual residence (see Re A (A Child) (Habitual Residence: 1996 Hague Child Protection Convention) [2023] EWCA Civ 659).
