Panorama’s investigation into Britain’s Sharia Courts re-scheduled for 22 April

Domestic violence against women is ignored, claims programme

The broadcast of BBC 1's Panorama undercover investigation of Britain's Sharia Councils which was postponed because of the death of Baroness Thatcher has been re-scheduled for 8.30 pm on 22nd April. It should be available for viewing later via iPlayer.

Publicity for the programme states that in it women claim that they have suffered domestic violence ignored by the councils. Campaigners say that it is time to tackle the parallel legal system which can run counter to British law.
