The new state pension: transitional issues

The House of Commons Library has published a research briefing explaining how the new state pension, introduced for future pensioners on 6 April 2016, affects individuals, focusing in particular on transitional arrangements. Section 3 sets out the special rules for marriage/civil partnerships, divorce and bereavement.
