5 years + PQE Solicitor or FCILEx








GR60: Children Law Solicitor/FCILEx 

Job grade: C4 (2)   depending on experience
Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum dependent on experience.
 

Purpose:

We are looking for an experienced Solicitor or FCILEx ideally 5 years+ PQE to join our well-established Family Department.  The successful candidate will be experienced in Public Law children and Private Law children cases and be a Children Panel member or have eligibility to join the Children Panel.

You will be personable, motivated and able to work as an individual and as part of a dedicated team.  There are excellent career prospects for the right candidate.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Running own caseload of Public Law children and Private Law children cases;
• Doing own advocacy where appropriate;
• Dealing with LAA forms/admin where appropriate;
• Assisting with the Company's work creation projects;
• Appropriate networking/marketing;
• Any additional duties as required.

Skills/Competencies required:

Essential:

• Strong organisational skills;
• Excellent time utilisation;
• Consistent in meeting billing targets;
• Enthusiasm and positive approach to family law;
• Sufficiently confident with family law to use your own initiative;
• Proven team working abilities;
• An ability to handle urgent work;
• An ability to work to tight deadlines;
• An ability to remain calm and work effectively in a high pressure environment;
• Working knowledge of legal aid.

Education

• Qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or equivalent.

Experience:

Essential:

• Children Panel member or eligibility to join Panel;
• Experience of running own caseload within a family law environment, dealing with public law children and private law children cases:
• Workings and knowledge of legal aid.
