Progress of Family Law Bills halted by prorogation of Parliament

Children and Social Work Bill awaits Royal Assent

The current session of Parliament will be prorogued on Wednesday, 3 May 2017. Prorogation brings to an end nearly all parliamentary business. However, Public Bills (including Private Members' Bills) may be carried over from one session to the next, subject to agreement.

The Children and Social Work Bill has completed its parliamentary passage and awaits Royal Assent.
