Guidance follows consultation exercise
The Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government has published statutory guidance for local authorities to improve access to social housing for victims of domestic abuse. This guidance is intended to assist local authorities to ensure that victims of domestic abuse who are living in refuges, and other forms of safe temporary accommodation, are given appropriate priority when they apply for social housing.
