Updates for time limits for filing documents in the Supreme Court and JCPC

Lord Reed issues update

The President of the Supreme Court and Chairman of the Judicial Committee, Lord Reed, has approved the following practice for filing documents.

There are no current plans to close the Registry before the Easter vacation, but those who prefer to not travel to court to file papers should email their documents to or specifying the means by which they propose to file (post, DX or courier). If this is done then the document will be treated as having been filed on the next business day.

Time limits will be applied flexibily and parties should bear in mind that unnecessary disputes over procedural matters are discouraged.
