UK marriage equality consultation delayed

Consultation will take place this autumn, says Home Office

The Pink News reports that, in response to an enquiry, the Home Office has said that the promised consultation on the future of marriage equality and civil partnerships has been delayed until this autumn. It was originally planned for this summer.

A Home Office spokesman is quoted:

"We are at the early stages of this work and will be, from the autumn, looking to discuss with a range of stakeholders how this work can move forward."
