Child abduction case given leave to appeal to Supreme Court

S v C will be heard on 20 February

In the child abduction case of S v C [2011] EWCA Civ 1385, in which the Court of Appeal overturned the decision of Mr Justice Charles, the Supreme Court has given the mother leave to appeal to that court.  The hearing in the Supreme Court will take place on Monday, 20 February 2012. 

James Turner QC will be leading Geraldine More O'Ferrall for the appellant mother (instructed by Rosleys LLP) and Anthony Kirk QC will be leading Nicholas Anderson for the respondent father (instructed by Lyons Davidson).

The Justices due to hear the case are: Lord Philips, Baroness Hale, Lord Mance, Lord Kerr and Lord Wilson.
